Oh My Gosh...YES!! I have been poked and prodded and everything else under the sun. No Lupus. No arthritis. MS is in the family but I refuse a spinal tap. Since 1996 I have been in and out of doctors offices with them shaking their heads and telling me it's all in MY head! Because the tests are all negative. About a year ago I started having some heart palpitations. Finally I had a doctor tell me that some arthritis won't show in a blood test. He's a joint doctor who wanted to put me on meds. Again I refused. Finally, just last month, I went to an acupuncturist (he's an MD too) and he told me, "you have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome." All the same symptoms as everything else, but now a real diagnosis. He gave me shots of very little cortisone and water in acupressure spots and I was literally pain free by that night. It is time to go back, I can feel it, but I'm a firm believer that there is a lot more than being doped up on cyclobenzaprine, welbutrin, and oxycodone. Two of which are contraindictive. aaargh. It's nice to feel good and drug free!

Hi there! I have never heard of the cortisone and water treatment and kind of interested. I guess it would be safe to say that the injections are not very pleasant..right? How many sites did you have the injections in? I have had fibro for quite a many years and was diagnosed when I was forty. I have been through the *its all in your head* *you are getting older* *live with it* and all those good sayings. :-) So I have tried nearly every treatment and drug used prescribed for fibro and would like to know more about this treatment you had if you don't mind sharing a bit more. Thanks Rosee
